What are the black figures in my Brita filter jug?

You're not really in pictcher but at the filter - the part that puts water in comes from the water through filters. By type of freaks me out. We rinse the filter of the "daring" to purify water filter, but more came. We've only had about a month!

Make sure that your Brita filter, immersion in water for about 10 minutes and then rinse with clean water before installation. If there are still some pieces of carbon in the water floating landfill, the first pitcher of water and try again. Anyway, these little details do not threat, but may be troublesome. Is there egg nonstick cooking that really work?

If anyone has or knows something about a non-stick poachers, it does not stick to eggs, I know we will.

How can I keep my homemade ice creams and frozen yogurt soft & creamy?

I love to make fresh homemade ice creams and Pinkberry-style frozen yogurt, but we have to eat it right away or else it turn rock hard. I usually leave it in the frig for 30 mins before serving it sometimes which will soften it just enough to scoop it out but is still hard/icy.

I heard adding guar gum, xanthan gum, and gelatin helps with the consistency. Which one should I use and how much?

Can you cook a pork roast in a oval dutch oven or should I use a roasting pan instead?

I have both but was wondering if it is possible to use a dutch oven to sear it first then put it in the oven to cook the rest of the way through. I have a Le Creuset 8 quart oval dutch oven and the roast weighs 4 1/2 pounds. Should I use a lid or no lid?

You most certainly can! I always use the same pan to sear and cook my roasts, if it's big enough. I allow for about 2 -3 inches all around the protein for vegetables and better heat flow and yes, I do use the lid as well. This will increase your cooking time and to keep all of those wonderful flavors steaming together for maximum taste. How do you salt hot air popped popcorn?

I just bought a hot air popcorn popper. When I sprinkle salt and butter buds on the freshly popped popcorn, they just fall through to the bottom of the bowl, and my popcorn tastes drab. Is there a way to make salt and butter buds stick to the popcorn? Thank you.

Try spraying a bit of Pam or other similar oil spray onto your popcorn, toss the popcorn, then add salt and/or butter buds. It will add a touch of fat, but not as much as if you popped the corn in oil.
